Delete your plate account

Effective October 12, 2026. plate is made by Brain Nourishment LLC.

Delete it in the app

1. Open plate and go to Settings.
2. Tap delete account, then delete my account.

That's it. It happens right away and can't be undone.

What gets deleted

From our servers: your answers (including your diet and allergies), your plans and shopping lists, the meals you marked cooked, your recipe ratings, and any feedback and screenshots you sent.

What deleting doesn't do

• It doesn't cancel your subscription. Apple or Google bill it, so cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions (Settings in plate links there). Deleting your account doesn't stop their billing.
• Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their policies.
• Usage analytics in PostHog are linked only to an anonymous account ID; email us and we'll delete them too.
• Advertising measurement data is kept by AppsFlyer under its own policy.

Can't open the app?

Email support@useplateapp.com with the subject "delete my plate account". If you can, include your support code (Settings in plate, under account). We'll delete your account and its data within 30 days and confirm by email.
